Real estate investment and land asset management firm Walton Global has closed the first phase of a 409-acre land sale in the City of Dallas, Paulding County, Georgia. DR Horton purchased the land as part of a six-phase strategy for the Edenwood Master Plan community in the Lost Creek Subdivision.

“DR Horton previously purchased the lots developed in the Lost Creek Subdivision,” says Anthony Sparrow, senior vice president of Tennessee, Georgia and Carolinas at Walton Global. “We are excited to see DR Horton’s design, and we look forward to seeing this project evolve into the new homes needed for this submarket.”

DR Horton will begin the first phase with approximately 40 acres of land for 78 planned lots. The final five phases are expected to be executed over the next few years, according to Walton Global. When all six phases are complete, a combined total of 652 homes is expected under the Edenwood Master Plan. The Lost Creek Subdivision is located near Cobb Parkway, Interstate 75, the Dallas Freeway, and US Highway 278. Dallas is located less than 40 miles from downtown Atlanta.

“Located in the highly desirable Paulding County School District, we are excited about the continued relationship with Walton Global and the opportunity to build high quality homes within the Lost Creek community,” said Tim Arnold, President of DR Horton’s Atlanta West division.
