maval: Land assessment for the western ring road completed in Maval | Pune News

Pune: The Planning Department of the District Administration has completed the valuation of 138.95 hectares of land in the villages of Pachane, Bebaldhaval, Dhamne, Parandwadi and Urse in Maval tehsil to be acquired for the proposed ring road project west.
“The land valuation was carried out based on the land transactions of the last five years in the tehsil and the ready-to-use calculation rates. It will be discussed with each farmer before the start of the actual acquisition process. If a farmer has any issues with the rate or the deal, they will be dealt with separately. Our effort is to acquire land smoothly,” a senior administration official said.
The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has completed the survey of the road. A total of 675 hectares of land worth Rs3,000 crore is needed for the 68 km western ring road from Urse toll station in Maval, passing through the villages of Mulshi, Velhe and Bhor tehsils before merging with the Mumbai-Bengaluru highway at Kelwade village.
“The farmers of Maval did not oppose any process related to the ring road. As a result, the valuation of their land ended early. Affected farmers will be compensated. This is a crucial step in land acquisition,” a senior administration official said.
