Land sale to advance Derbyshire housing scheme

Land development and property consultancy Mather Jamie has completed the sale of land in Kirk Langley, near Ashbourne in Derbyshire.

The 5.87 acre site is located in the village of Kirk Langley and has planning permission for 35 homes which will include a mix of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes. Mather Jamie advised the landowner and worked alongside Ross Jackson of land developer Clarendon Land Development to secure the sale of the land to Cameron Homes.

Mather Jamie, Senior Managing Partner, Gary Kirk, said, “We are delighted with the speed of execution of this site for our client. Mather Jamie was appointed in 2020 to secure a development partner and credit must go to Clarendon Land who issued planning approval for our client in a short period of time allowing us to capitalize on market conditions solid and secure a sale to a renowned home builder Cameron Homes. We are delighted to have been able to put our client in contact with suitable partners for this transaction. There is currently a strong demand for greenfield sites for new housing construction and we plan to continue to deliver similar sites to the market. »

Ross Jackson of Clarendon Land & Development added: “This project is a great example of how land development can deliver new homes where they are needed most, while delivering a great outcome for the landowner. Mather Jamie selected us as their preferred promotion partner for this site after a tender process in October 2020. At the time, there was a window of opportunity in which planning policy favored the site and so we submitted an application soon after. Fast forward 18 months and we are delighted to have agreed a sale to Cameron which will no doubt provide a high quality housing scheme. Our thanks must go to Mather Jamie for giving us this opportunity and for their professional management of the project.
