Two Kilcock properties were sold at the Glenroyal Hotel, Maynooth, on May 11 in what auctioneer Coonan Property described as a ‘good day for land auctions’.
There was good turnout on the site from potential buyers and there was a lot of interest in the proposed Kildare plots of land.
The first was Ballinakill, Newtown, Kilcock, a prime parcel of farmland.
Bidding was steady that day, with three active bidders. The property was listed on the stock market at €325,000 and sold for €370,000.
The second property scheduled for auction was Killargan Stud. This fantastic plot, located 10km from the town of Kilcock has a lot to offer. It comes with 36 acres of free-drained land and features a yard that includes a full-size sand arena, lunging ring, and American barn.
According to the sales agent, the stunning property had an eager buyer chomping at the bit. The property sold before the auction at a high price to the mutual satisfaction of buyer and seller.
Will Coonan of Coonan Property commented: “Land auctions continue to attract strong interest from a wide range of buyers and we expect future sales to continue in this vein. We have recently listed some great entries which are attracting a high level of enquiries, both nationally and internationally. »
