Proposals for your attention |
Proposal #1: If the School Board is authorized to sell the following District-owned property at a purchase price at or above fair market value and on such terms and conditions as the School Board deems to be in the best interests of the District, the proceeds of this sale being deposited in accordance with the law in the general fund of the District?
Reservoir Road Parcel #1000-9-8-1, a 2.10 acre parcel with 455 feet of waterfront along the northeast shore of Silver Eel Cove located at the western end of Fishers Island with zoning R-80.
Proposal #2: If the Board of Education is authorized to sell Lot No. 1000-9-10-10, a 2.4 acre lot located on Winthrop Avenue, Fishers Island, NY to Walsh Park Benevolent Corporation, a non-profit corporation, for the purchase price of $410,000?

Voters’ demands
- Citizen of the United States
- Legal resident* of Fishers Island for 30 days prior to voting
- 18 years old on the date or on the date of the vote
* Proof of residence (requires one of the following):
- The elector’s name appears on the Suffolk County Board of Elections Fishers Island Electoral Roll
- A driver’s license with a Fishers Island address
- A New York State non-driver ID card with a Fishers Island address.
NOTE: Having voted in previous IUFSD elections does not in itself qualify a person for a current election.
Postal votes*
In-person applications must be delivered personally to the District Clerk, Aly Horn, no later than the day before the election.
Application by mail must be received by the District Clerk, Aly Horn, no later than the 15th day before the election.
The ballot itself must either be personally delivered to the district clerk no later than the close of the polls on election day, or postmarked by a government postal service no later than election day and received no later than 7 days after the election.
