Crow Wing County to Welcome Land Sale with Tax Forfeiture – Brainerd Dispatch

BRAINERD – Crow Wing County will hold a public land auction at 10 a.m. Friday, July 29, just outside the Land Services Building, 322 Laurel St., Brainerd.

More than 200 leaflets will be offered for sale at public auction. The vast majority of these plots have seen the starting offer price reduced by 25%.

Properties are located throughout the county, from the Mille Lacs area in Garrison to Ideal Township, with many lots in Breezy Point, Brainerd and Crosby.

“These tax-exempt properties have been selling rapidly over the past two years,” Environmental Services Supervisor Ryan Simonson said in a press release.

Of the lots available for auction, 21 are waterfront properties and 29 are larger than 20 acres. Properties offered for sale can be searched through an interactive map application available at taxforfeit.crowwing.us.

“Whether people are interested in construction, seasonal use or recreational sites, there is a variety of land available for purchase throughout Crow Wing County,” Simonson said.

The online mapping application provides detailed information on the location, size and estimated value of all of the more than 200 lots offered for auction. Interested buyers may also contact Land Services staff at 218-824-1010 or email [email protected] for more information.

Properties offered at auction in previous years that remain unsold are available for direct purchase at any time over the counter. Contact the Department of Land Services or search “land sale” on crowwing.us. These properties are also visible via the interactive map.
