Bakersfield Real Estate Appraisal Company Acquires Central Coast Company | News

A Bakersfield-based real estate advisory and appraisal firm has expanded to the Central Coast with the acquisition of a 49-year-old company located in San Luis Obispo.

Local Valbridge Real Estate Advisors | Central California, which is affiliated with a much larger Florida-based company, announced this week that it had acquired Schenberger, Taylor, McCormick & Jecker Inc. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.

The purchase adds three certified real estate professionals to the Valbridge team: real estate appraisers Rollie A. McCormick, Todd O. Murphy and Max R. Knupper.

Valbridge’s senior managing director, assessor Michael Burger, said in a press release his company is excited to expand its capabilities in the region.

“This opportunity allows us to better serve the region and to work alongside seasoned team members who understand the unique needs of the project in this part of central California,” said Burger.

San Luis Obispo office staff have experience appraising residential, commercial, medical, office, motel, restaurant, mobile home park, ranch, farm, public, industrial and recreational. Its customers include the US Forest Service, Chevron Corp. and Pacific Gas and Electric Co., as well as various local governments and national securities companies.

The acquisition represents the 80th location in the United States for Valbridge Property Advisors, based in Naples, Florida, which has 675 employees across the country.
